American Mathematics Competition 10A & 12A
Date: Wednesday, Nov 6, 2024
Start time: 6 PM
Audience: Parents of High Schoolers
About the Competitions
Each competition is individual and consists of a 25-question, 75-minute, multiple-choice examination in high school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. The AMC 10A is available for students in 10th grade and below, while the AMC 12A is targeted to 11th and 12th graders. The AMC provides an opportunity for high school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers. Students apply classroom skills to unique problem-solving challenges in a low-stress and friendly environment. More information about the competition can be found on the Mathematical Association of America's website.
Registration
Many high schools host the competition for their students, and it is often done at the school during the school day. If your child is interested in participating but is enrolled at a high school that will not offer the AMC 10A or 12A in November 2024, please complete the interest form linked below.
